A dad’s love will never go out of style, and Scott Swift just proved that with his latest gesture in honor of his daughter Taylor Swift.
At Taylor’s Eras Tour in Argentina on Saturday, Scott — a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan — sported a Kansas City Chiefs lanyard to watch the show from the VIP tent along with his daughter’s boyfriend Travis Kelce. (The Daily Mail has photos HERE.)
Can you imagine? If my dad ever put on merch from an NFL team that wasn’t the Dallas Cowboys, I would be floored. This is a huge show of support and love for his daughter, showing that Scott is definitely her biggest fan.
On today’s episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis’s brother Jason Kelce, who is a center for the Eagles, called out Scott for switching allegiances.
“Got him over to the good side baby,” Travis joked. From the way Scott cheered on Taylor’s lyric change during “Karma,” we know he is now Travis’s biggest fan too!
“You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott. This is ridiculous,” Jason responded.
Travis then explained a little more about what happened. “I might have persuaded him at dinner the night before when I met him,” he admitted.
“No, did you?” Jason asked.
“Maybe, who knows?” Travis quipped. “He’s a huge football guy. He played college ball, I believe a year at Hawaii and then a year or two [at] Delaware.” Sounds like they were clearly bonding!
Travis also praised Taylor’s concert, saying, he was “blown away” by how many people attended. He even tried to convince Jason (who was hilariously called “Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend’s Brother” by the Weiner’s Circle restaurant in Chicago last week) to go to a concert. “I would love to go!” Jason responded. We gotta see him bring his wife Kylie and their daughters, too!
Scott isn’t the only parent who supports this new relationship. Jason and Travis’s mom Donna Kelce shared a funny meme about her sons on Facebook on Monday, per PEOPLE, which was originally created by The Word to the Wide Podcast. It was a throwback photo of Jason and Travis in their University of Cincinnati uniforms from their college days. The text reads: “One of these guys is a finalist for Sexiest Man Alive and the other is dating Taylor Swift. There’s still hope for you.” You gotta love a mom who low-key roasts her grown sons!
And of course, Donna and her ex-husband Ed Kelce have also praised Taylor Swift. We are obsessed with this sweet relationship and love how the families are involved, too!
