Many people are shocked to discover that despite Kate Middleton and Prince William being literal royals, they only have one part-time nanny. Not only that, but they’ve kept his nanny on since their eldest Prince George wasn’t even one! It’s claimed by both insiders and experts alike that their children’s nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has to follow quite a few strict rules. Still, there’s allegedly one that Kate is very adamant about.

In a breakdown on Mirror, Kate: The Future Queen author and royal expert Kate Nicholl reported that Kate “won’t allow Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis their own devices” during their younger years, and their nanny has to abide by this.

“The emphasis during this time will be on arts and crafts, painting, and doing things that aren’t screen-orientated,” she said to OK! “Kate is usually very strict on screen time and keeps it to a minimum.”

So along with avoiding certain words, obliterating fussy eating habits, and more, Borrallo must abide by the rule Kate potentially holds the highest.

William and Kate share three children named George, 9, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5.
