Bradley Cooper’s Conscious Parenting Style Includes Avoiding One Thing Around His Daughter Lea

Even when dealing with shockingly existential questions from his 6-year-old daughter Lea, Bradley Cooper won’t do one thing many of us would do in a heartbeat — and we’re just as impressed by his restraint as Emma Stone.

Longtime friends Cooper and Stone sat down to have a conversation for Variety’s“Actors on Actors” series, and during their chat, the Maestro director funnily revealed, “I was with my daughter the other day; she’s like, ‘So what happens after, when you die?’ As the Poor Things star gasped, Cooper continued, “I was like, ‘You know, I actually don’t know.’ Because I just always tell her the truth.”

Pretending to be Lea, Cooper asked, “‘Doesn’t Google know?’ I was like, ‘Oh my God,'” the single dad added. Both shocked and impressed, Stone uttered, “She asked if Google knew?”

“Yes,” the Guardians of the Galaxy actor said. “I was like, ‘Maybe.'”

The Easy A alum asked if he looked up his daughter’s question, and he shared that he did not because they were out getting ice cream — which is too adorable. Stone presumed that he was able to make the query if he’d wanted to, since he likely had his phone on him, but Cooper revealed, “I don’t like to be on my phone around my daughter.” Again impressed, the Crazy, Stupid, Love star gushed, “That’s cool. You’re a really good dad.”

We agree with Stone — Cooper’s dad game seems to be top tier, based on his own anecdotes and those of his ex-partner Irina Shayk, with whom he shares Lea. During a November interview with Elle, the supermodel said, “He’s the best father Lea and I could dream of. [Co-parenting] always works, but it always works because we make it work.” The duo split in 2019 after four years together but have remained friendly in the years since.
