The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in Drew Scott’s family. In fact, his son Parker, 19 months, is already following in his footsteps … literally! The Property Brothers host shared an adorable new photo with his baby boy, who he shares with wife Linda Phan, that shows one thing Parker has in common with his dad.
“Look who’s following in my footsteps 👟❤️,” Scott captioned the post on Instagram today. In it, he’s standing outside holding Parker’s hands in his. The little boy is walking — hilariously tucked into his dad’s tennis shoes! Parker looks down as he walks, probably admiring his taste in footwear. The toddler is too cute for words!
“Your little you❤️❤️so cute!!!” one person commented. Someone else quipped, “Big shoes to fill 😍.” Is there anything more precious than your baby walking in your shoes?!
Another person, clearly trying to make us cry, commented, “You will turn around tomorrow and he will fit in them, it goes by just that fast! Cherish this time! ❤️😍💕😊”
The Celebrity IOU star often posts funny and relatable parenting content on Instagram. On Wednesday, he recreated a scene that every parent has witnessed during their parenting journey.
“When you leave your toddler alone at snack time 🍪 #KidLife #parenting,” he wrote. In a series of photos, Scott starts by cutely nibbling on a gingerbread cookie before pouring the whole box overhead so it rains cookies into his mouth. It’s so true.
Scott, along with his twin brother Jonathan Scott, decorated the White House for Christmas this year, which you can see on the White House Christmas special. In an interview with Collider, he shared, “The whole thing [First Lady Dr. Jill Biden] wanted to be brought to life was this sort of childhood whimsy and it really did, it did happen.”
Speaking of childhood whimsy, Parker got to experience his own winter wonderland — because Uncle Jonathan brought a snow machine.
“The one thing I do miss, because in Canada where we were at the holiday time, there was always snow and so it was nice to have the snow,” Jonathan told Collider, “so I actually got the snow machine and I’m putting in a little snow area on the property here so our kids [Zooey Deschanel’s kids Elsie, 8, and Charlie, 6] and — and Drew is going to bring [his son, Parker] over, so they can experience what snow is because they don’t get any.”
