Andy Cohen’s Son Ben Just Embarrassed His Dad in a Super-Public Way & We Can’t Stop Laughing

Picture this: it’s a day or two after New Year’s Eve. You’re probably still a little hungover — and definitely exhausted — and now you have to travel back home with young kids. All you want to do is wear your coziest sweats, get a trenta-sized coffee at Starbucks, and pray that your kids will be so enamored with their iPads that you can get a little rest during your flight. Now imagine if all these things are true, but you’re also a celebrity and have to deal with the added stress of trying to avoid fans when you’re on the struggle bus. It’s gotta be challenging! Andy Cohen seemed to have a challenging experience recently while flying home after co-hosting New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper. His son Ben, 4, did something that embarrassed him, and the story is so cute.

“On a plane with the kids and Ben just announced ‘Everybody meet my Dad Andy Cohen’ 😳,” the Bravo TV host wrote on Threads Tuesday. Gosh, can you imagine? I would be embarrassed if my kid did that to me on a plane, and I’m not a celebrity! Ben is clearly so proud of his dad, who he must realize is someone other people know, but that doesn’t make it any less cringe for Cohen.

“He’s proud of his Dad!!” one person commented.

Someone else warned, “Just wait ’til he is 12 and won’t know you.” But don’t worry, another person had a plan for that too. “When he turns 14, you can announce him as your son to the whole middle school! Payback!”

“Daddy’s gonna need his juice 😂😂,” someone else wrote. It’s gonna be a long flight after that!

Another person quipped, “Has he been around Kris Jenner a lot? He sounds like he wants to be your Kidager.” Hey, nothing wrong with that!

This isn’t the first time Ben has embarrassed his dad (and it definitely won’t be the last). In June 2023, the duo were on a walk when Ben “screamed bloody murder” for a classic toddler reason.

“My son just cried. Cried is actually a kind way of putting it,” Cohen said on his Instagram story. “My son just screamed bloody murder for three city blocks because he wanted a long-sleeve shirt and not a short-sleeve shirt.” Been there!

He added, “So if you saw me in the Village, that’s what the issue was. It was not a child protective services moment, just so you know.”

The kid who uses turkey bacon as a crutch just keeps getting funnier, and we love following along with his adventures. If anything, because it makes us feel better about the things our own kids do!
