As she gets older, Princess Charlotte’s personality is shining through more and more with every public appearance. (Remember all those times she helped her mom Kate Middleton keep Prince Louis in line? She’s such a helpful big sister.) Now, a source has dished about how Charlotte behaves at the Lambrook School, where she attends with 5-year-old Louis and their older brother Prince George, 10, and it’s just like another famous royal.
A source told Hello! Magazine that Charlotte is “so kind and friendly” at school, where “the other children adore her.”
“She’s kind to the kids in younger years and she’s very popular,” they added. Aww! That is so sweet. And, of course, it sounds so much like her grandmother, the late Princess Diana. The “People’s Princess” was known for her kindness, compassion, and love for other people. She was often photographed bending down to talk to kids on their level, showering her own kids with love, and giving back via a number of charitable causes.
Princess Charlotte is similar to Princess Diana in more ways than one. She loves dancing like her grandmother did, with Middleton saying in September 2023, “My daughter Charlotte likes dancing. She loves ballet and tap.”
She’s also sassy like Princess Di was, with one person pointing out their similar side-eyes on TikTok prompting this comment: “Makes me believe in reincarnation.”
They also share similar features and fashion, like these comparison photos show, and a love of giving back, like when Charlotte joined her mom and siblings to help out at a local baby bank.
In addition to Princess Charlotte’s kindness to her schoolmates, the Hello! source also gave a little insight into how George and Louis behave at school.
“George seems like a nice boy, too, and little Louis just has so much energy,” they said, with Hello! Reporting that Louis “continues to keep the grown-ups on their toes.” Overall, though, “they’re lovely kids,” according to the source. We aren’t surprised at all!
Princess Charlotte has two other influential women in her life: her mom, Princess Kate, and her grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, which showed during the Christmas Day walkabout. Princess Charlotte kindly encouraged her cousin Mia Tindall to accept a bouquet of flowers in a now-viral TikTok video.
During the event, photographer Daniel Campbell took her picture, telling Hello!,“[Charlotte] was so polite and confident. It was like she was made for this role. Everybody was saying how much she looks like the late Queen and how elegant and professional she is, like her mum.”
“She had perfect manners and said to a young lad who gave her a present: ‘Thank you. I hope you have a lovely Christmas,’” he added.
Princess Di famously said, “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” We know she would be so very proud of Charlotte — and all of her grandkids!
