David Foster’s Daughter Rips Into an IG Commenter Over Allegations About Her Dad’s Relationship With Her 2-Year-Old Brother Rennie

Amy S. Foster is not letting a 48-year age difference nor a (possibly) tumultuous past get in the way of her defending her little brother Rennie and her dad, famed music producer David Foster. David, 74 shares a 2-year-old son with his wife Katharine McPhee and recently posted an unbelievable video of Rennie drumming to Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You.” As one commenter pointed out, it’s more than just your typical toddler banging on a drumset with reckless abandon.

“That’s not taught, that’s innate genius prodigy!!!” one person commented.

And many followed suit, flooding the comments with positive energy and awe.

“Wow wow wow!!!! 👏👏👏” “Whew🔥🔥🔥🔥 talented and still in the diaper! Blessed!” “For goodness sakes that child is amazing and he’s only 2 years old ? I guess is true the Apple doesn’t fall too far away from the tree !!!! 👏👏👏👏👏” “R U Serious 😳 ?!!!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽❤️💪🏽” “LOOK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!” “Yep, definitely coming for @travisbarker,” one person jokingly said to the Blink-182 drummer.

But of course, someone had to come along and ruin it. “Lol!!!! He is the dad …” one person said to a follower who asked if David is Rennie’s grandfather. “He’s also got daughters (he abandoned) older than me.”

Along with Amy, 50, David shares daughters Allison, 53, Sara, 42, Erin, 41, and Jordan, 37 with previous wives.

“Hi … I’m a daughter … absolutely no abandonment,” Amy responded to the follower. “I literally just talked to my dad five minutes ago.”

“Are you sticking up for us?” she asked, passive-aggressively not letting this person get away with their BS. “It’s so hard to tell these days … you see a video with an amazing two year old and your take away is something negative? All you have to do is look at the comments and Rennie’s sisters have all chimed in with compliments … We’re great. We love our dad. Our dad loves us and we love how our dad is with Rennie.”

And there are receipts! Even Sara — who previously opened up about her “deep … resentment” of her father’s parenting — commented, “This is insane.”

In 2020, David told Peoplehe has some regrets about how he parented his grown children.

“I missed a lot because I didn’t raise them,” he admitted. “The geography was really tough. That was my own doing and a regret that I have, but it was what it was and there was no changing it. So I did the best I could, which was quite imperfect at times. Plus, I worked so much. I mean, I’ve made a pound of music in my life.”

And by the looks of it, Rennie could make another pound or two. But as Amy would seemingly be quick to say, “quite imperfect” does not equal “abandonment.” And so, to the peanut gallery, we say, “MYOB.” And to little Rennie, we say, “Rock on!”

These celebrity dads all welcomed babies after age 60.
