Although her daughter Grace is only 2 years old (and, therefore, doesn’t even have a phone), Bindi Irwin knows that one day she will grow up. And when that day comes — a long, long time from now — chances are, Grace will check her mom’s Instagram. Being the mindful mom she is, Bindi penned a sweet letter to her daughter to read one day in the future, and it’s making our hearts melt.
“Grace Warrior, If one day you come across this post – I want you to know that being your mama is the BEST,” the Australia Zoo conservationist wrote on Instagram Thursday. Imagine randomly coming across a note from your mom like that? Bindi is so kind!
“And I love you with all my heart, forever,” she continued. “I have loved every adventure we’ve shared and I can’t wait for many more to come.”
Obsessed. This note is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, and I’m definitely inspired to write my own moving tribute to my kids on Instagram. Our kids obviously know we love them, but declaring it in such a public way to make sure they never, ever forget is such a great idea.
Bindi also shared a new photo with her toddler, who she shares with husband Chandler Powell. The mother-daughter duo is on the beach on a beautiful cloudy day. As the water comes closer to shore, Bindi crouches down to give her daughter a huge hug. Grace is dressed warmly in pink boots, pink ski pants, and a puffy pink butterfly jacket, and her pretty brown hair is up in two pigtails as she smiles next to her mama.
“Bindi, thank you so very much for being such an inspiration to so many people around the world,” one person commented on the heart-warming post. “It is truly amazing to watch you being a great mom to your daughter, Grace. Thank you for continuing your dad’s legacy.”
“This is so beautiful hon. You’re such a wonderful Mama bear 🐻 ❤️,” someone else wrote.
“From watching you grow up to seeing your daughter grow up now too is so amazing to witness,” another said. “You’re the best mum and I know Grace Warrior will cherish everything you, Chandler & your families do for her. 🥹❣️”

Bindi isn’t shy about her love for her daughter. In a letter for E! Newsfor Women’s History Month in March 2022, the Crikey! It’s the Irwins star penned this note for Grace: “My first words to you when I held you in my arms were ‘my graceful warrior.’ You are the light of our lives. It makes me smile knowing your best friend is a giant tortoise and watching you spend your days finding magic in everything you come across. Grace Warrior, I love you with all my heart, forever.” Aww!
Bindi shared that Grace was an “old soul” on her first birthday. “Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior,” she wrote on March 24, 2022. “One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person. Grace, you have been an old soul from the very beginning. It is the greatest blessing to be your mama.”
“I love you eternally, unconditionally and infinitely, ❤️” she added.
And on her second birthday, Bindi called Grace her “whole world.”
“Grace Warrior, you are the sunshine that fills our lives,” she continued. “Every day I am amazed by your hundreds of words and smiles, fascination for the natural world/every animal you discover and your adventurous soul. You see wonder in everything and remind me that the world is made of magic. Being your mama is the best part of my life. I love you with my entire heart, for all of my existence.”
