Amanda Seyfried may have skipped the 75th Emmy Awards on Monday night, but her fashion was still on point! She showed off her fabulous Emmy-night dress on Instagram, which was designed by her 6-year-old daughter Nina!
“Celebrating the Emmy’s with a handmade creation by a six year old,” Seyfried wrote on her Instagram story yesterday. (Page Six also has a screenshot HERE.) The Mamma Mia! star looks gorgeous in the black-and-white photo with no makeup and messy blonde hair. She’s wearing what started as a white t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, with black fabric accents on the bodice and strips of different fabrics hanging off the bottom for a pretty tasseled effect. The dress is so cute — Nina might have a future in fashion design!
The Seven Veils actress also hung out with her son Thomas, 2. She shared a photo of the blonde-headed toddler on her Instagram story. He’s dressed in a gray-and-white striped shirt as he gazes into a cozy-looking fire at home. It looks like such a relaxing night in, especially compared to last year’s Emmys, when she took home an award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for The Dropout.
Seyfried, who shares Nina and Thomas with husband Thomas Sadoski, opened up about the importance being open with her kids in a May 2023 interview with Today. She shared that she unknowingly had OCD and anxiety as a kid, which she “didn’t know” she could talk about.
“I just want my kids to know that they can come to me no matter what,” Seyfried told the outlet. “Embarrassed, fearful, anxious, excited, whatever they’re feeling, if they let it out a little bit, it’s liberating.”
“It just feels like I’ve been a bird let out of a cage with parenthood and I’m parenting myself, too, by going to therapy,” she added.
The Mean Girls alum seems like such an open, supportive parent — and the ultimate cool mom!
