Meghan Markle Reportedly Didn’t Go to Prince Harry’s Awards Ceremony for One Parenting Reason

When Prince Harry was announced to be honored at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards, many expected another loved-up red carpet moment between him and his wife Meghan Markle. However, when Harry arrived, Meghan wasn’t anywhere in sight. Instantly, people were speculating as to why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex weren’t together for his big night. As it turns out, the answer for her absence was quite simple.

Insiders told People that the reason Meghan didn’t go to the event was to take care of her and Harry’s kids, specifically to take care of one of them who is ill right now. It’s unclear which one of their kids is the one sick right now, but it is reportedly not too bad, considering Harry was able to go out for a night.

With that being said, we hope the Sussex kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are happy and healthy!

Now, this isn’t the first time Meghan has stayed behind with their children. The three of them stayed behind in Montecito, Calif when Harry made a brief appearance at his father, King Charles III’s coronation, along with the times Harry went back to the UK for his trial.

So while this isn’t a new occurrence, many were still shocked that she didn’t tag along.

For those who don’t know, Harry and Meghan started dating in 2016 and by April 2018, they were married. They share two children together named Archie, born in May 2019, and Lilibet, born in June 2021.
