Everyone knows Kaavia James is a superstar. From her sassy Shady Baby ways to her super sweet moments, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter is always entertaining. But in a new video at her dad’s birthday party, the 5-year-old shows off a special talent that makes it obvious what Kaavia will be when she grows up.
“We’re so blessed to spend year after year with you 🎂 @dwyanewade,” Union wrote on Instagram. She shared several photos and videos of her husband’s party, but Kaavia stole the show (of course).
Kaavia is dressed in a black sweater with silver stars — because she is a star! — with a black leather skirt, black boots, and silver bow in the hair. She stands in front of her parents, holding a microphone and belting out the “Happy Birthday” song. When she gets to “Happy birthday to Daddy,” Union smiles and points at Wade. What a cutie! At the end, Wade smiles and claps bigger than anyone, then leans down to give Kaavia a kiss.
In other photos from the party, Kaavia dances with her mama and twirls with her dad. She’s having the time of her life, even if its past her bedtime!
Comments on the post were full of praise. “Kaav you better singgggg!!! The spotlight was made just for you!!” one person said. Another wrote, “I’m ready for the Kaavia World Tour.”
Kaavia has the cutest singing voice. Last January, Wade filmed a video of Kaavia singing in the carseat on her way to school. She loudly sings off-key, “This girl is on fiiiiiiiiyyyyyaaaaaa!” to Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire.”
“These NOTES are on 🔥🔥🔥,” the adorable video is captioned. “Yall hear me going on RUNS & RIFFS I say! Beautiful gowns. Beautiful gowns. 🎤🎶🎵”
Another time, she gave a living performance in a “girl power” tank top. She twirls, dances, and tries to do a cartwheel, all while singing “Oh, you gotta let it goooo!” “Best breakup song of 2023. You’re welcome. 🎤” the video was captioned. “You gotta let it goooooooo!!!!🎶🎵”
Her moves, her voice, and her whole delightful personality prove that she is going to follow in her mama’s footsteps and grow up to be an entertainer one day. We can hardly wait!
These celebrity kids want to follow in their parents’ footsteps.
