First-time fliers can experience a wide range of feelings and sensations while soaring through the sky in an airplane — and unluckily for Kelly Osbourne, her son had a rather messy reaction during his inaugural trip across the horizon.
The Incident
On Monday, The Talk alum took to her Instagram to share a few relatable and real moments from her travels with 14-month-old Sidney. One snap shared to her Story showed Osbourne’s gray sweatpants-clad lap covered in a massive wet spot from her pelvic region to her knees. If you didn’t know any better, you might assume she’d peed her pants — but the fluid was not her own, nor was it urine.
The mom of one candidly captioned the photo, “When you are on a plane and your baby vomits all over you.” We feel for the poor little guy — and for Osbourne’s cold, puke-covered legs!
Poking fun at the unfortunate mishap, the television personality posted a second photo after she and her tot deboarded their plane. The exasperated mom stood in an airport terminal, holding an innocent-looking Sidney who calmly sucked on his pacifier while his mama stared down the camera with a half-amused, half-pained expression on her face — soiled lap on full display. You just can’t help but laugh, and based on her facial expression, Osbourne couldn’t resist either.
Sidney’s Story
Osbourne announced the news of her first pregnancy on Instagram in May 2022. Sharing a few photos of herself holding sonogram images, the former Fashion Police co-host wrote, “I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why… I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma.” She added, “To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!”
The 39-year-old and her partner, Slipknot member Sid Wilson, welcomed their son by the new year, with Osbourne’s mom Sharon spilling the beans about Sidney’s arrival during an episode of The Talk. While Osbourne wasn’t ready to share her son with the world at that point (she notably took to social media to write, “I am not ready to share him with the world. It is no one’s place but mine to share any information on my baby.”), she’s since become more open when it comes to the toddler.
During a September 2023 episode of The Osbournes podcast, the mom of one squashed any lingering whispers of strain between herself and her mother. “He goes and sees nana every morning and every night before bed and he just sits there laughing and chuckling,” the former Talk co-host shared of Sharon and Sidney’s dynamic.
