JJ Watt’s 1-Year-Old Son Koa Is Already Taking Out the Trash & Followers Noticed an Extra-Adorable Detail

JJ Watt’s son Koa may be a little guy, but he already plays a big role in his house. The former NFL star posted a video of his 1-year-old helping him clean up, and it’s clear the Koa is invaluable. In the video, Koa stands and grabs the knotted strings of a full garbage bag. Once he has a steady grip, he turns around and starts dragging the bag on the floor behind him. He loyally follows his dad who is a few paces ahead carrying a garbage bag of his own.

“Starting the chores young…” Watt captioned the post.

We know he’s taking out the trash, but leave it to little Koa Watt to make the whole thing so *ahem* stinking cute! And followers felt the same way.

“How freaking adorable is this??? 😍😍 Good job little guy,” one follower commented.

“Teaching them early!!! Such a great father!!!” another said.

“He’s already way better at chores than my husband. 👏”

“Can he come teach my 19- & 16-year-old sons that it’s ok to take out the trash?? 😂😂❤️ so cute.”

But there’s one hilarious (and extra-adorable!) detail that followers pointed out that we can’t unsee. “Giving him the big bag while you take the small one is SO funny,” one person said, knowing JJ Watt is built like Mr. Incredible and doesn’t need a costume to prove it.

Busy Bulking Up

We’re not surprised to see Koa can drag such a heavy bag without missing a beat. After all, the little guy has been training. Watt posted a video in Dec. 2023 of Koa getting some “reps” in at what looks to be their home gym.

“Go get Koko’s weights!” Watt urged his son who he shares with wife Kealia. The little guy made his way over to the weight rack, picked up some rubber tubes, and threw them back down. Too easy!

“You do squats?” Watt then asked his little training partner. “Down, up. Down, up.” That got a big grin out of Koa who was quick to follow his dad’s instructions, doing the cutest little squats we’ve ever seen!

“Athlete in the making 💪,” one follower commented. Not just an athlete! A little household helper! Today he’s taking out the trash, tomorrow he’s walking the can to the curb.

Earlier this week, Watt talked to People and made it sound like all would be forgiven if Koa decided not to help take out the trash.

“I did not realize how exponentially messy our house would get. It is like a constant cycle of make a mess, clean up, make a mess, clean up,” Watt said while partnering with Dawn. “But it’s the most fascinating thing in the world — if it’s my mess or if like one of my friends or my brothers makes a mess, I’m furious. But if Koa makes a mess, I’ll clean it up all day long.”
