Rain could either ruin your day or turn it into one big adventure. Jeannie Mai decided on the latter during a recent rainy day in Los Angeles, to the delight of pretty much everyone. She shared the cutest video of her daughter Monaco splashing in the puddles with a dinosaur suit, and it’s the energy we need this week!

Rainy days in LA get sunnier wit Coco in these streets 🦖💦,” The Real host captioned a video on Instagram today.

It begins with her 2-year-old daughter singing “Rain, rain go away, come again another day” in her pajamas. Except, she clearly doesn’t mean it, because a few seconds later, Monaco is all dressed up in an adorable blue dinosaur rain suit! It is made with water-protectant pants and a jacket in one piece, which is sure to keep her nice and dry, and it includes a clear visor over her head so she can play without getting water in her eyes. The top looks like a dinosaur head, with spikes on the back to complete the look. She paired it with blue rain boots for ultimate splashing around.

In the precious video, Monaco splashes in a puddle, kneels down to watch a worm, and wades through a torrent of running water in the street. A random woman drives by at one point, telling Mai, “You guys just made my day!” How could it not when you see that sweet little girl?

At one point, Mai talks to her daughter in Vietnamese, warning her to be careful and go slowly through the water. By the end, she starts to get brave. She trudges through the rushing water like a pro, not bothered at all! She’s our hero and our favorite fashion icon all in one. (BTW, do they make these dino suits in our size???)

The comments were full of love. One person wrote, “I love that you allow her to be a child and enjoy the priceless experience of life…”

Someone else said, “Omg she is so brave and gorgeous. Walking in the rain like she in the runway ♥️♥️👏👏👏.”

“She could brighten anyones day 🥹🥹❤️,” another person wrote.

Traveling

The Emmy winner shares Monaco with ex Jeezy. This year, she plans to take her daughter on lots of adventures. “Traveling is a big thing for Monaco and I,” Mai said during rehearsals for Hollywood Party of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024. “So, I’ve already taken her to about six different countries. This year, I want to take her to Vietnam ‘cause she’s never been and I wanna do some work out there. I wanna do some of my philanthropic work with anti-trafficking, and I wanna teach her about part of her heritage.”

The Raid the Cage star added that she wants to focus on “joy” this year. “I just want good ‘ol wholesome joy,” Mai explained. “Like that stuff that feels so calm and readily available that it doesn’t need a night out. It doesn’t need to be looked for. It just is there because you feel whole and you feel safe. That’s what I want to have. I know how to conjure it, and I want to keep it for all of 2024.” It’s obvious that she has taken that resolution to heart — because there’s no other way to describe Monaco’s rendezvous in the rain other than pure joy.
