When Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey welcomed their daughter Matilda last March, there was no doubt that he joined the club of celebrity dads who are making fatherhood look finer than ever. After all … respectfully … he’s Tom freakin’ Pelphrey. Do the actor’s photos below not speak for themselves?
And so we did not blame Cuoco one bit when she posted a video of Pelphrey pushing their daughter Tildy in a stroller on her Instagram Story with the words “Hottest Dad Ever” written over it. We’re pretty sure the ladies and gentlemen of the jury would agree with the actress’s assessment of her boyfriend. The sweats. The shades. The man bun. You got yourself a cute one, Cuoco!
And Another Thing…
We also couldn’t blame Cuoco (do we ever?!) when she revealed to Conan O’Brien one of the things about motherhood that seriously irks her.
“You know what I hate though … What I hate is how everyone now is like, ‘Hey, Mama!’” she said in their chat last week. “…I get this visceral, angry reaction.”
Fair! Why is that a thing adults do? Why are you calling another adult “Mama?” We intellectually get that it’s because she’s a mom, but we also get why it gives her (and many others!) the ick. And no adult is out here calling Pelphrey “Dada.”
…right?!
It got to the point where Cuoco called in reinforcements. She “started to resent everybody” she was working with, and so she had her assistant tell them to stop calling her “Mama.”
“I couldn’t take it anymore,” she said.
Daddy’s Girl
Last month, Cuoco revealed that Tildy is totally in love with her dad. At the premiere of her film Role Play, she told People he is the apple of her eye.
“Whenever he walks in the room, she only wants to be with him. She is a total daddy’s girl,” Cuoco said, adding that the feeling is mutual.
“He loves her more than anything in the world,” she said.
As for Cuoco’s relationship with Tildy? She loves her “so much.”
“I think selfishly what I love the most is she finds me hilarious,” she admitted. “I think she’s my best audience … I used to feel like I got a lotta laughs, but now with her, I am her 24/7 clown entertainment, and I love nothing more.”
Hot partners and laughing babies — what more could a woman ask for?! (Besides not being called “Mama!”)
