Khloé Kardashian isn’t going to let haters make her feel bad during the month of love. She recently shared pictures of her festive Valentine’s Day celebration for her kids True, 5, and Tatum, 18 months, (as well as her many nieces and nephews), and it received some major criticism from people on social media. Now she is speaking up about it, and we are so here for it!
Valentine’s Day
It all started when the Good American founder shared pictures on Instagram of her Valentine’s Day party. Kardashian wore all red as she posed with her kids in front of a wall of personalized balloons, which said things like “XOXO True” and “Love You Tatum.” There was also a picture of huge pink balloons spelling out “Happy Valentine’s Day”; a picture of True and Kim Kardashian’s daughter Chicago, 6; and a photo of tons of Valentine’s baskets filled with pink heart pillows, “Mama’s Boy” hats, teddy bears, chocolate Kisses, and more.
And it’s not just about the presents. Kardashian also showered her kids with sweet notes that praised every part of them, like “You are brave” and “You can change the world.”
Judgy Comments
While some comments were supportive — including one person who wrote, “Just perfect ♥️” and another who said, “Precious ❤” — other comments were attacking Kardashian for her extravagant celebration.
“Why does every occasion need balloons and so many of them! 😢 please think of the environment and this 450 year burden before they decompose,” one person wrote. Someone else commented, “
So. Much. Waste. For. Every. Occasion.”
“Such a waste of money for nothing,” another person said.
Clapping Back
The Kardashians star seemingly addressed the judgy comments in a post on her Instagram story. She shared another photo of Valentine’s gift baskets, writing, “I absolutely love making holiday baskets for all of my nieces and nephews. Valentine’s Day is such a sweet and happy holiday. It makes creating these baskets so fun and filled with love.”
Period! Valentine’s Day is supposed to be a day of showering your loved ones with sweet notes, chocolate, and maybe a gift or two — just because Kardashian has a bigger celebration than you did, doesn’t mean she deserves all the hate thrown her way. Especially for trying to make the holiday fun for all the kids. It’s honestly tiring at this point.
She shared another post talking about her Valentine’s gift baskets. “Boy stuff Valentine’s Day is a little harder to find, but I try to personalize according to the ages,” she wrote, adding that she got pajamas from Zip N’ Bear for the older kids. “Hard to find ones that the 8 and up boys want to wear. The boys are too cool for some of the traditional stuff. 🙄”
She also asked followers for tips on what to fill Easter baskets with. “Now I have to start thinking of things for Easter baskets …” Kardashian wrote. “13 boys and girls of all different ages …. I’m open to any ideas 🩷.”
Hopefully she won’t get so much hate when she posts about the family’s Easter celebration — but we’re not holding our breath!
