She may be a cool mom, but Lindsay Lohan is far from an experienced mom. That’s why she turns to one A-list mom friend whenever she needs advice on parenting her 7-month-old son Luai, who she shares with husband Bader Shammas.
Parenting Advice
In an interview with Entertainment Tonighton Monday, Lohan revealed that she turns to her Irish Wish co-star and friend Ayesha Curry for parenting advice. “I asked [Ayesha] questions behind the scenes,” Lohan said about her friend, who is pregnant with her fourth child with Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry. “She has three, I could ask her, ‘Is this normal? Is this normal?'”
Curry added, “We had a bond even before [the movie].”
In fact, Stephen and Ayesha are actually godparents to baby Luai! The Mean Girls star and her financier husband went to a Golden State Warriors game last month, where they posed with the star and a signed, game-worn jersey. On it, the NBA player wrote, “To Luai, your godparents love you!” So sweet.
Godparents
Lohan appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonon Monday night, where she confirmed she is working on a Freaky Friday sequel (!!) with her co-star Jamie Lynn Curtis. She also gushed about her relationship with her son, who she called her “everything.”
“He’s, like, my world,” she told host Jimmy Fallon with a laugh. “You forget about what life was before you have the baby. And the baby makes sure of that,” she joked.
She also explained how the Currys became Luai’s godfather. Apparently, Shammas knows the chef Michael Mina, who told him to introduce Lohan to Ayesha. “So she happened to be coming to Dubai, and we met and we just clicked right off the bat.”
“It’s so funny, because like, when you get older in life, you don’t make like adult friends and friendships that grow.”
“Well, get ready for when your kid goes to school,” Fallon said. “You’ll be making some adult friends.”
Baby Travel Buddy
Although he’s only a few months old, Luai is already influencing his mom. Lohan told E! Newson Monday that she thinks of him before deciding what projects to work on. “I want to do things that my son can see,” she said. “But I also want to do things that inspire me.”
The 37-year-old has also been bringing her baby everywhere with her, including to Ireland while she filmed her new movie (which premieres on Netflix on March 15). “I’m still fortunate he’s young, so I can bring him everywhere,” she told E!. “And he is everywhere with me, because I don’t want to leave him. But I think it will definitely play more of a factor as time passes.”
It sounds like she’s doing just fine!
