It’s official: Michelle Kwan’s 2-year-old daughter Kalista is the cutest little copycat. The Olympic figure skater posted a video over the weekend of her yoga workout, and Kalista was quick to join in.
As Kwan reached up toward the sky, Kalista did the same. The toddler then excitedly skipped some poses, and flopped onto her belly, knowing her mom was going to end up in cobra pose. They then both entered into downward-facing dog. And I don’t know what it is, but there’s something that’s equal parts adorable and hilarious about a toddler in down dog!
“My shadow ✨🌟🙏🏼❤️,” Kwan captioned the video that was set to “True Colors” (the Trolls version with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick, of course).
Now we have to wonder if Kwan has another Olympian on her hands!
The only difference between the mama and her mini? Kwan was dressed in black athleisure and had her hair in a ponytail, while Kalista wore a white long-sleeve shirt, pigtails, and a diaper.
“If you’re not doing Yoga in Pull Ups are you really living your best life? 😁 so freakin adorable!” one follower aptly commented.
Oh, and Kalista wasn’t feeling like she needed much more flow time. While Kwan kept going, her toddler happily galloped away, prompting one follower to say, “I agree with the baby. Three stretches is enough 😁😂😂😂 #itsplaytime.”
Baby Kalista
Kwan — who is the American ambassador to Belize — shocked fans when she welcomed Kalista Belle Kwan into the world in January 2022, having kept her pregnancy a secret.
“I’ve always wanted to be a mom and, to me, she’s a perfect miracle,” she said in an Instagram announcement. ” I had a hard time picturing what she might look like yet it seems like she’s been in my life forever. This has been a challenging journey to motherhood (not to mention a very long labor!!!) and I’m glad I never gave up.”
Alongside a photo of Kalista swaddled up (no yoga quite yet!), Kwan shared a montage of her growing baby bump.
“I want to send my best to all the mom’s out there (as we all know, moms rule the world!),” she continued. “And, I wish anyone trying to conceive in any which way (ivf, iui, surrogacy, adoption and naturally) all the success and love. You’re not alone on this path and I’m pulling for you 🙏🏼”
Louder for the people in the back!!! We’re pulling for all the parents-to-be.
And our favorite little yogi.
These celebrity moms all appeared in the ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’ Issue after welcoming babies.
