Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes have one of the sweetest celebrity love stories. They met in middle school, and in the Netflix docuseries Quarterback, Patrick admitted he was totally in the friend zone. (Sorry, Pat!) It wasn’t until high school, after he gave Brittany a rose on Valentine’s Day, that Brittany started to think that he (and the sweet gesture) was cute.
The couple has been together ever since, dating long distance through college, adopting two dogs, having two kids, tying the knot, and securing two Super Bowl wins!
The couple got married Hawaii in March 2022 — a year and a half after getting engaged, and a year after welcoming their first child, Sterling Skye Mahomes, in February 2021. So yes, baby Sterling was in attendance!
Yesterday, the couple posted sweet anniversary tributes. Patrick shared some couple photos along with two adorable family photos with Sterling, Brittany, and their 1-year-old son Bronze. Brittany then shared some stunning photos from their wedding day.
But our favorite part of the walk down memory lane was when Brittany reshared some photos of itty bitty Sterling at the wedding, reminding us of just how freakin’ cute she was on the big day.
She wore a frilly white dress and made a grand entrance in a little blue Bentley while eating crackers. Even at such a young age, she had a bow holding back her infamous and enviable curls, and her blue eyes sparkled.
“Having your daughter apart(sic) of your wedding, just hits different🥺💕,” Brittany said on Instagram. “I love you sister girl💖”
Like us, fans couldn’t get over how cute baby Sterling was on the special day. “This picture of your precious little girl is absolutely beautiful ❤️💛” “She’s sooo adorable.”
What About Bronze?
Patrick and Brittany’s son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III was born nine months later, in November 2022. We have to imagine he would have been just as cute as a little ring bearer. He would look so handsome in a mini tuxedo and hilarious serving his iconic side eye while his parents said, “I do.” Here’s hoping to a vow renewal with both Mahomes kiddos in attendance!
