Just call Grace Warrior the kangaroo whisperer! Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell’s daughter is a natural when it comes to these native Australian animals. The toddler helped baby kangaroos with their feed time recently, and she looks absolutely adorable in a sweet new photo.
Kangaroo Girl
Bindi and Powell shared a joint Instagram post of their daughter, who turns 3 this month, and she looks so comfortable surrounded by kangaroos. Four kangaroos are gathered around a green food bucket, with three other kangaroos hanging out around the edges of the photo. Grace is standing in between two of the animals, supervising their mealtime. She’s dressed in a floral shirt with jeans rolled up at the hem, with a light orange bucket hat covering her brown curls. She’s the cutest little zookeeper — and you can tell she’s an Irwin through and through!
“Just a girl and her kangaroos. #AustraliaZoo” Powell captioned the photo. Bindi’s mom Terri Irwin commented, “Grace is always so kind and gentle with the kangaroos.🦘” She acts less scared of kangaroos than some kids act around dogs, and it’s incredible to see!
“Is it wrong to be jealous of a toddler? Asking for a friend… 😂” someone else joked.
“Grace is such a natural lil wildlife warrior!” another person wrote.

When she was 7 months old, Powell shared a photo of baby Grace in her stroller surrounded by kangaroos. “I think Grace has decided that she’s part of the kangaroo mob @AustraliaZoo 🦘❤️,” he captioned the photo. Even as a baby, she was comfortable with kangaroos!
But just because she loves kangaroos doesn’t mean she isn’t a little annoyed by them too. Terri shared a photo in July 2023 of Grace holding her hand on her hip and looking so annoyed as the kangaroo in front of her turns away to look at the camera.
“When you’re trying to make a point, but you’re being tactfully ignored!” Terri captioned the cute picture.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonightlast month, Bindi shared how much her daughter reminded her of her dad, the late Steve Irwin. “She reminds me of dad with her personality type,” Bindi said. “She is just awing with everything. Her whole soul being is full of passion and enthusiasm and it’s very cute because she’s fiery and fabulous and I love that.”
And seeing her in action couldn’t be cuter!
