Never doubt the power of wishing. Lindsay Lohan revealed on today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show that she spent time “wishing” and “manifesting” that she would get pregnant before baby Luai was born — and it came true! Now, she might be setting her sights (and wishes!) on baby number two…
Manifesting
Real life met fantasy when Lohan was filming Irish Wish (which premieres on Netflix tomorrow!). The movie is about a woman named Maddie who is jealous about her best friend marrying a man she’s in love with, so she makes a wish for true love that changes everything. This is eerily similar to Lohan’s own wish for her sweet son, now 7 months, who she shares with husband Bader Shammas.
In a preview clip for the episode, Lohan tells host Drew Barrymore about her experience. “I was telling Ayesha [Curry] when we were filming, I was like, ‘I really wanna have kids soon,’” the Mean Girls star recalls. “And I actually kept, it sounds cheesy, but I kept like wishing it and manifesting and praying on it. And then it happened pretty quickly after like, I was like, I’m pregnant.” The power of positive thinking is so real!
“You got your wish. Isn’t it funny?” Barrymore responds. It was meant to be! She continued, “You do start to like, I guess that whole I mean, is it appropriate to say that ticking clock? Like it happens. I remember readying my life.”
“And as a woman you get start getting worried,” Lohan continues, “you’re like, ‘I’m 35, oh my gosh. I gotta really think about this. I have to get going. It’s scary. What’s gonna happen? Do I have to rush, if I rush will it not happen?’ Your mind just goes nuts.”
Baby Number 2?
Then Lohan casually dropped the news that, yes, she wants another baby. “And then once, yeah, I mean, having a baby then you’re like, oh, I want another, I’m like that,” she tells Barrymore.
“Do you want a sibling [for Luai]?” Barrymore clarifies.
“Yes, of course,” Lohan says. “Because I was lucky enough to have a sibling. So I want, I want Luai to have that.” Eek! It sounds like she is already manifesting baby number two, and we are so here for it!
Watching Their Own Films
During the interview with Barrymore, which airs today, the Freaky Friday star and the 50 First Dates star chatted about whether or not they watch their old movies.
“I never watch the films I was in because I feel like, oh, that would be indulgent and yet I feel like I’m missing out,” Barrymore admits in a preview clip.
“You can watch your films,” Lohan responds, completely validating her. Barrymore asks if Lohan watches her own films, and she replies, “I mean, if someone wants to watch it and I’m there, I put it on and I’m like, cooking in the kitchen or I have to run upstairs or I’m busy doing something else. So, because I just, it’s hearing my voice that I’m like [makes a cringe face].”
“Oh, I love your voice,” Barrymore says.
“But, you know, when you hear your own voice back on a voice note you’re like, ‘Oh, no, I don’t wanna hear it,’” Lohan continues. I’m not even a movie star, but I still feel that way when watching home videos, so I can imagine!
“And it’s true. You try to act like, busy and nonchalant,” Barrymore responds.
Baby Luai Watched One His Mom’s Movies Unintentionally!
“So it’s just on, it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I remember,’” Lohan continues. She then shares the last movie of hers she watched, which was The Parent Trap with baby Luai!
“Oh actually I just wrapped a movie, four days ago and I came home from work and my son was having his, he was doing, getting ready for dinner time and I opened the door and he was watching, ‘The Parent Trap’ was on, it was just on the TV,” she recalls. “And I started crying because I’m like, he doesn’t even know that’s Mommy yet. I was like, do I turn it off or do I just …” So sweet! But Luai’s reaction ultimately convinced her to leave the movie on.
“And he was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice was still similar to how it was then,” she says. “So I was like, maybe he knows, like a little bit that it’s me because it sounds like me. But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it.”
