Even rockstars can’t resist cute animals! Pink brought her kids Willow, 12, and Jameson, 7, to a wildlife sanctuary recently, and the pictures of all the cool creatures they met are so sweet.
Pink, who has been bringing her husband Carey Hart and their kids with her on the Summer Carnival Tour, took the family to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane, Australia. She shared a video of an owl flying from a post to her outstretched hand to eat a treat from her glove, followed by pictures of Jameson proudly smiling with the owl perched on his hand and Willow looking at a different owl on her hand.
Jameson, who has long blonde hair and wore a motorcycle t-shirt with black shorts, gray socks, and white tennis, feeds a baby kangaroo in one video. He also got covered in kisses from dingos (an ancient lineage of dog in Australia) in another photo. The last photo is a family shot next to a koala statue, which Willow has climbed up to pose for the snap. What a unique experience!
The “So What” singer wrote about their outing in her caption. “Its an absolute JOY to travel with my kids and be able to show them different lands and customs and culture and peoples and animals,” Pink wrote. “Today was our second time visiting @lonepinekoala and it was amazing to understand and learn so much about koalas, Roos, dingos and raptors.”
She also shared some of that knowledge that she gained. “For instance — barn owls fly silently and falcons are the fastest animal on Earth. Clocking in at 241 mph in flight. That’s fast,” she wrote. “Also, barn owls enjoy being sung to, while kangaroos really just prefer grass and quiet time. And these tiny, brown, round balls in the field aren’t chocolate like @hartluck said they were.”
Pink has had her ups and downs with touring with her family. In a Nov. 2019 cover interview with Billboard, the “Cover Me in Sunshine” singer shared an intimate look into how difficult it can be.
“There have been many times when I have been sitting in the corner of arena bathrooms crying and saying to myself, ‘There’s a reason why women don’t do this, there’s a reason why moms don’t do this,’ because it’s f*cking impossible at times,” she told the outlet.
She opened up more about touring with her family in a later interview with PEOPLE. “There’s not a lot of women headlining stadiums and doing two nights at Wembley Stadium while having a family on the road,” she said. “[Director Michael Gracey] had never seen a mom changing diapers while having a creative meeting, and just the way that this big life intersects with being a normal, crazy family — there’s something fascinating about that.”
She added, “Touring with kids is impossible — and I did the impossible. For a while there were a lot of other pop stars that were emailing me and calling me for the playbook on how to tour with kids, so I wrote a playbook for other moms. You just keep going. I’m just thinking about: ‘Am I raising a kind person? What’s it like to be my kid?’”
Willow and Jameson are experiencing the world firsthand, while learning the importance of giving back and taking care of others. What an amazing childhood!
These celeb families wouldn’t be complete without their furry friends.
