After the Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton’s, moving and heartbreaking video announcing her cancer diagnosis to the world, it seems everyone has been rallying around her and her family of five. While Kate told the whole world what was happening, it’s safe to assume the Middleton family knew what was going on behind the scenes. But now that it’s all out in the open for everyone to know, royal experts believe the Middleton family will go into overdrive to protect Kate and Prince William’s kids, and uphold this “crucial” family step Kate wants.
In a discussion with the Mirror, royal commentator and biographer Duncan Larcombe talked about what he believes Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton will do during this time.
He discussed what may happen, saying that “It is crucial the children are looked after carefully,” since that’s always been Kate’s priority.
“I think Carole and Michael will be supporting the family a lot. I think they were made aware of [the cancer] when Kate was made aware of it, and have played an important part in supporting the family since,” he said. “They’ll have rallied around her, especially her young family. Carole and Michael will have essentially thrown a safety blanket around the young children to help protect them. In times like this for Kate, it is hugely important.”
So it’s safe to say, that Kate and William’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will definitely be looked after amid this shocking time.
For those who don’t know, William and Kate have been together on and off since 2003. They married in 2011, and have since welcomed three children named George, 9, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5.
