Suki Waterhouse Confirms Suspicions About the Sex of Her Baby: ‘I’ve Been Very Lucky’

Rumors have been swirling around the sex of Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson’s firstborn baby, and it turns out, they were right! The Daisy Jones and the Six star officially confirmed that she is a girl mom during a sweet moment at Coachella.

“I don’t know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down,” Waterhouse told the crowd while performing at the music festival, according to a fan-recorded video, per PEOPLE.

“I love amazing ladies, and I’ve been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life,” she added. Aww, how sweet is that? The “To Love” singer and the Twilight alum welcomed their baby girl in March, and Waterhouse shared the first photo of her earlier this month. “Welcome to the world angel ❤️,” she captioned a photo of a Polaroid, with her holding the baby wrapped in a heart-shaped blanket.

Although she’s kept her baby very private, Waterhouse has been more open about her postpartum life. “The fourth trimester has been … humbling!” she wrote on Instagram, along with several refreshingly real photos of herself dressed in postpartum underwear.

“The postpartum period has been filled with exhilarating joy, so much laughter, tears, soo many hormones!” the “OMG” singer continued. “I’m proud of everything my body has achieved and proud of the kindness and grace I’ve given myself during this recovery period. 💕 ootd: @fridamom pants!”

Before becoming a mom, the London native opened up about the double standard of people expecting women to step back in their careers to focus on motherhood (something her character faced in Daisy Jones). “Men never have to decide to take that step back,” she told SSENCE, adding that “there’s never that moment where they think, ‘I’m going to have to step back or slow down,’ even if they have children or a family.”

“And I think for women, if you want to have a family, if you want to have children, we don’t have that option. We have to give something up,” she continued. “That’s something that you can’t really escape being a woman. It’s never going to be fair. It sucks.”

It’s painfully true, yet Waterhouse is defying the odds by pursuing her acting and singing career while being a mom at the same time. And announcing her baby on stage at Coachella? It just proves she’s a badass.

These expecting celebrity parents revealed their baby’s sex in hilarious, creative, super-cute ways.
