It’s not easy being the mom of an independent toddler. When my eldest son was little, he didn’t want anybody to hold him — he was always in go, go, go mode! But sometimes — like when he was sick or feeling shy — he would get close to me and let me cuddle him, and I cherished every single second. That seems to be exactly how Kaley Cuoco is handling the feisty spirit of her 1-year-old daughter Matilda “Tildy” Carmine, who she shares with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey. The Big Bang Theory alum shared a new snapshot of a time her daughter still needed her, and it’s so sweet.
“She needs me sometimes🥹,” Cuoco wrote over a picture of her and Tildy on her Instagram story on Tuesday. (PEOPLE has a screenshot HERE.) In the photo, Cuoco wears a gray t-shirt, green linen pants, and a Nike baseball cap. She leans down to caress Tildy’s head, as she stands up and hugs her mom around the legs. Tildy looks adorable in a white t-shirt with gray overall shorts, white socks, and little brown slippers. They are in a room with space lights on the floor (maybe a children’s museum?), and Tildy looks awestruck at something off-camera. Being needed in this moment has to feel so special for Cuoco!
Last week, The Flight Attendant star shared a video featuring another sweet moment with her daughter. This time, Tildy was sitting with a friend or nanny, and smiling and dancing to Disney’s Encanto. “Innocently dancing,” Cuoco wrote on her Instagram story. “I can’t with her she is so sweet😭😭😭”
When she isn’t making her mom cry out of pure sweetness, Tildy is making her laugh. ““I love her so much, I really do,” Cuoco told PEOPLE about her only child in January. “She is very funny. I think selfishly what I love the most is she finds me hilarious. I think she’s my best audience.”
She went on, “I never had more laughs than I do in our house with this baby. And I used to feel like I got a lotta laughs, but now with her, I am her 24/7 clown entertainment, and I love nothing more.”
