Patrick Mahomes is taking body positivity to the next level. The legendary NFL quarterback is embracing his “dad bod” and using it as a way to (hopefully) make a lot of money for charity. Mahomes has partnered with Coors Light to make two branded shirts: One that says, “Dad Bod” with the Coors logo above it, and one that says, “Here’s My 6-Pack” with a picture of a 6-pack of Coors Light cans below it.
The merch is available for pre-order on CoorsLight.com and will be available while supplies last. Proceeds from the $25 T-shirts will go to Mahomes’ charity — 15 and the Mahomies Foundation — which “supports initiatives that focus on health, wellness, communities in need of resources and other charitable causes.”
Mahomes’ dad bod was on full display earlier this year when a shirtless photo of him in the Kansas City Chiefs locker room went viral.
The dad of two has since commented on his physique multiple times.
“I’ll also say I have a great body for a quarterback,“ he told TIME earlier this month when he was named one of the Top 100 Influential People. “You’ve got to have some padding in there to take the hits that we take.”
And in an interview ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, he hilariously explained his abs situation. “If you feel it — I mean, there might be some skin there, but then underneath that — the six pack’s there,” he said. “You got to get real close and you got to squint a little bit and I think you’ll see it.”
Wherever it is, visible or otherwise, Mahomes’ abs have led to what seems to be a very promising philanthropic partnership.
Mahomes shares two kids — Sterling, 3 and Bronze, 1 — with wife and high school sweetheart Brittany Mahomes. (So yeah, he’s earned the dad bod!) As for whether he’ll have another kid to explain the “padding” even further, it’s hard to say. Brittany told followers last year that she and her husband are undecided on whether their family of four will become a family of five.
“We aren’t sure honestly!” the co-owner of the Kansas City Current said. “Part of me says yes part of me says ehhhh maybe not!”
These celebs were quick to shut down pregnancy speculation.
