While it seems no one will be at the Invictus Games, or see Prince Harry when he’s back in town, people are still holding gout hope he could see his family, like his brother Prince William, sister in law Catherine, Princess of Wales, their children, or even his father King Charles III. While it seems like Harry may see his father, it’s quite clear he definitely won’t see the Wales family, despite Princess Charlotte’s recent birthday celebration.
Royal expert Helena Chard told GB News via OK that she believes Harry won’t hug, or even see, Charlotte.
“I don’t think he will meet Princess Charlotte, but he will meet King Charles,” she said. “Wouldn’t it be lovely if Princess Charlotte could have a lovely hug from her uncle Harry? But it’s not going to happen. There’s no way that Prince William will allow that. Especially at the moment, with Princess Catherine still undergoing treatment.”
So with their estrangement, and Kate’s preventative chemotherapy, an uncle reunion with his niece and nephews probably isn’t in the cards for them.
For those who don’t know, William and Kate have three children named Prince George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Now, it’s unclear how much time Harry has spent with the Wales children, especially in recent years. While we know he’s met them all, we can only recount one special moment between Harry and Charlotte: and it was back at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022. Per Women’s Health via Yahoo, fans noticed a sweet moment where Harry gave Charlotte a reassuring smile during the funeral.
However, inside sources told UsWeekly that, despite the family feud, Harry misses the Wales children “very much” and that “they’re extremely fond of him also. Charlotte will send everyone in the family thoughtful gifts and cards, and at the very least they’ll call as a family to sing happy birthdays and so on.”
