Knights on horseback! Princesses in 16th century garb! Pirates! Peasants! Juicy turkey legs! Yeah — renaissance fair season is back! And while we love frolicking around meadows and buying flower crowns and watching people joust, we love seeing celebrities do those things even more. Enter: Vanessa Hudgens, the prettiest pregnant maiden you’ve ever seen! The High School Musical alum just showed up in an ethereal white dress for a ren faire, and the pictures are pure magic.
Hudgens, who is expecting her first baby with husband Cole Tucker, shared gorgeous photos of her springtime fun on Instagram. And she went all out! In the first picture, she wears an old-fashioned white gown, complete with ruffles over the petticoat and the sleeves. The French Girl star paired it with a white headband and a woven straw basket purse, as she smiles with a furry animal tail scarf wrapped around her neck. In the background, you can see men with their faces painted to look like animals hanging out on a table, a woman with horns sticking out of her head and animal-like makeup, paired with a flower crown and dress, and a fairy with her whole face painted white. It’s giving whimsy, it’s giving quirky, it’s giving Midsummer Night’s Dream — and we are obsessed!
She does a curtsy in the next photo, as the animals behind her reach out to touch her shoulder. But it’s not all fun and games … in the last snap, she was put in the gallows. (Don’t worry; she’s OK!) Her head is through one hole in the fake prison and her hands are in the others. She’s still clutching her fabulous purse as she smiles above the plaque that reads: “Chicken thief.”

She has been channeling her inner flower power lately, with many photos celebrating the season. In one, she wore a tan bodysuit that hugged her bump in a selfie, with a floral hat and headphones. She posted this picture along with photos and a video of flowers in bloom.
“Spring has sprung,” she captioned it.
Last week, Hudgens shared bump photos in a long white knit dress, with her hair in an updo and dark scarlet lipstick. In one picture, she sits on a gorgeous silver chair that looks like a masquerade mask. In another photo, she cradles her bump as she smiles in front of a gorgeous scene of trees and wildlife.
