Lea Michele’s Mother’s Day post contained a little surprise: she revealed the sex of baby number two!
The Glee alum posted a gorgeous maternity picture on Instagram, wearing a white shirt that’s unbuttoned to reveal her bare bump. She smiles down at her bump, cradling it in one hand and holding a bouquet of pink roses in the other. The flowers hint at the news: she is pregnant with a girl!
“The most beautiful Mother’s Day today,” Michele wrote in the caption, “holding my son who made me a mama … and carrying my daughter. 💕💐”
Fans were so excited for the star, who is also mom to son Ever, 3, with husband Zandy Reich. “A mini Rachel Berry!!!! 💗” one person commented. “finally a mini rachel berry! contrats mama, happy for you! 🫶🏻” someone else wrote.

For those who don’t know, Michele played high schooler Rachel Berry on the Emmy Award-winning Glee that ran from 2009-2015. Rachel is intense, obsessed with being the best, and caring in her own way. The character is a diva — and fans either loved her or hated her (or both, depending on the episode). Now that Michele is having a daughter of her own, we can’t help but wonder if she’ll look or act like a mini Rachel. Maybe Michele will dress her in tiny sweater vests and knee high socks? We can only hope!
One thing that Michele’s daughter might inherit is her love of singing. After all, her son Ever does! “It’s really wild because he does sing a little bit already,” Michele told Accessin 2021. “He’s 14 months old, but he can sing, which is kind of crazy! I’ve always heard that singing is genetic, and it just might be.”
But before Ever’s duet partner is born (can they form their own Glee club?!), Michele is simply basking in the pregnancy glow. The Scream Queens star looked beautiful on the carpet at the Met Gala last week, as she showed off her gorgeous turquoise blue Rodarte gown with a long, statement-making train. At the time, she jokingly told Associated Press, “I don’t think I was allowed a plus one, but I’m bringing one!”
