Sunday was a magical night at American Idolfor judge Katy Perry. She dressed up like Cinderella — complete with a glittering blue gown and a blonde wig in an updo — for the Mother’s Day “Disney Night” show, which was seen by her 3-year-old daughter Daisy Dove!
Daisy made a rare public appearance sitting on her dad Orlando Bloom’s lap in the audience. In a photo of her, per ABC News, Daisy looks just like her mama. Her blonde hair is up in a princess bun as she smiles up at the stage, looking completely enthralled by her mom. She is absolutely adorable!
The same day, the “Firework” singer shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day post, which included a jump scare — a picture of her “Og pee stick” that fans thought was a baby announcement. “girl you scared me i thought you were pregnant again,” a comment with over 13,000 liked said. Another person wrote, “Omg!!! For one second, I thought the was another baby it’s coming.”
For the record, there’s not another baby coming. However, Perry did share some never-before-seen moments from her pregnancy with Daisy. One was a screenshot of a FaceTime. “Telling O I was pregnant (he was filming in Prague),” she captioned the picture, which shows the Pirates of the Caribbean star grinning at the news.
Another was a video of Perry telling her Idol co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan the news. “Telling my brothers @lukebryan @lionelrichie the big news on set in Hawaii at #idol,” she wrote.
There was also a video of a sonogram, where Perry heard “Daisy’s heartbeat for the first time,” and several photos of her baby bump “from before I met my Daisy Dove 🌼🕊️.”
“Today I told my mother that the day I realized how much she loved me is the day I had my own daughter, Daisy Dove…” Perry wrote in the caption. “there is nothing like a Mother’s love… never take it for granted… Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers — any way you come ♥️”
Bloom shared his own Mother’s Day tribute to Perry, writing, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there and especially to this 🔥mamma”
He and Daisy are big supporters of Perry. In fact, he brought Daisy with him to another special moment in Perry’s life: the final performance of her Katy Perry: PLAY residency show in Nov. 2023. “Daisy, I love you so much,” Perry told her daughter from the stage, per E! News, who was dressed in a Minnie Mouse-like dress.
“You’re my best friend. I’m so glad you’re here,” she added.
