Kourtney Kardashian‘s son Mason is no longer shying away from the spotlight.
On Saturday, May 25, the 14-year-old joined Instagram with his first verified account, @masondisick. For his first post, the teenager shared two OOTD-type photos showing off his black Off White brand t-shirt and a pair of baggy, cargo-style parachute pants. Mason hid his face with a black flatbill cap and opted to post the carousel without a caption.
Though his comments were limited, two of his aunts replied to the post with their dazed disbelief. “I can’t believe this is happening,” Khloé Kardashian wrote beneath her nephew’s inaugural post. Kim Kardashian chimed in with, “You’re really on Instagram 🥹”
Mason followed his first carousel with two additional posts. The teen’s second carousel, captioned “fam,” included a photo of himself with three friends and two shots with his sister Penelope, 11. Mason’s third post featured three mirror photos, one with his brother Reign, 9, and two with a friend. “🪞 pics is all we know,” he wrote.
On her Instagram Story, Khloé commented further on the shock of her nephew being old enough to handle his own Instagram account. “I can’t believe my @masondisick is on insta,” she wrote overtop his first official post. “The one who named us KiKi and KoKo is a legit teenager,” The Good American co-founder added, referencing her and Kim’s family nicknames.
Kourtney also revealed her thoughts about her son’s new account on her Instagram Story. “My first baby is on Insta and I’m not okay 🥺🥺 @masondisick ❤️,” she wrote, sharing his inaugural post.
Mason has notoriously kept a low profile for the past several years, with Kourtney and dad Scott Disick rarely sharing photos of him on their social accounts, unlike their more frequent postings of their younger two kids. Unlike Penelope and Reign, who occasionally accompany their parents during red carpet events and other public outings, Mason has chosen to stay out of the public eye. The teen’s preference for privacy has made the world increasingly curious about him, especially as the eldest of the third generation of Kardashians.
His low profile is already being blown out of the water thanks to his arrival on Instagram. Like the elder members of the Kardashian-Jenner family, Mason has already amassed an enormous following in the two days he’s been on the platform. As of this writing, the 14-year-old has 423,000 followers — and the number will only continue to rise.
