Alec Baldwin & Daughter Ireland Joke About His Undecided Grandpa Name: ‘It’s a Working Title’

Alec Baldwin‘s grandpa name is quite the “working title,” according to his eldest daughter Ireland.

Following a daddy-daughter-granddaughter date at the Museum of Ice Cream, Ireland made a sweet post on her Instagram sharing a few memories made during the fun day. The first photo in the carousel captured Ireland with her daughter Holland strapped to her back in a baby carrier. Alec, a dad of seven himself, sat beside the pair and beamed down at his first grandchild with the most adorable, enraptured expression.

Other snaps from the outing included Alec enjoying a picturesque pink milkshake, the Boss Baby star playing an interactive game with Ireland’s husband André Allen Anjos, and miscellaneous interesting bits of the museum that caught Ireland’s eye.

“Torturing granddaddy pop pop peepaw (it’s a working title) by forcing him and Andre to go to the museum of ice cream 😂,” Ireland funnily captioned the post. The Cat in the Hat actor reposted his daughter’s photos on his Instagram account, hilariously captioning his post, “Call me…whatever you want to call me, Holland.”

Fans of the Baldwins pitched in with a few suggestions on Alec’s working “granddaddy pop pop peepaw” title. One Instagram user commented on Ireland’s post, writing, “He’s got to be called Opa with a granddaughter called Holland 😍”

Another person wrote, “[T]he look on your Dad’s face as he gazes at his granddaughter Holland is absolutely heart-warming. Don’t worry, Holland will soon begin to name him. My granddaughter named me ‘Gouga.’ It sounds like Gouda cheese.”

Ireland welcomed Holland in May 2023, making Alec, mom Kim Basinger, and stepmom Hilaria Baldwin first-time grandparents. Alec will soon have the honor of becoming a great-uncle to niece Hailey Bieber‘s baby, as the model recently announced her first pregnancy with husband Justin Bieber. One thing is undeniable about the Baldwins: they absolutely adore babies!
