Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s face card never declines. She looks flawless, always, whether she’s rocking the red carpet with husband Nick Jonas or getting ready to film. So is it really any surprise that her 2-year-old daughter Malti Marie would be interested in makeup, growing up with so much beauty and glamour? The toddler proved she has an interest in makeup during a recent on-set visit with her mom, and the pictures are so precious.
“When mm is in the HMU trailer 😂,” the Citadel star wrote on her Instagram story Tuesday, referring to the hair and makeup trailer on set of her upcoming movie, The Bluff. In the cute photo, Malti is sitting on her mom’s lap as Chopra Jonas gets her hair done. It looks like Malti entertained herself by scribbling with a purple marker on a notebook in front of her, but then she set her sights on a new goal: the mannequin head sitting on the table in front of her! Malti scribbled purple all over her face to do her makeup. It’s an unusual technique, but who knows? It could become the new trend! Even celebrity toddlers are trendsetters, after all!
In another photo, Malti plays with a hairbrush. She stares intently at the brush, touching the bristles with both thumbs and no doubt contemplating her next hairstyle.
Like all toddlers with short attention spans, Malti takes a break from hair and makeup to get down on the floor of the trailer and play with a huge rope lying on the ground. The little girl, dressed in a black shirt, pants, and white tennis shoes, leans down to arrange the rope. “Practicing her sailing knots,” Chopra Jonas wrote on the picture. She’s such a cutie.
In the last photo, the Love Again star smiles at her little girl, as she leans down to hand her the mannequin head, whose long brown hair is braided. Malti smiles at the fake head, wrapping her arms around her neck. “I think ‘Diane’ is coming home with us 😂” Chopra Jonas wrote in the caption. (PEOPLE has screenshots of these cute photos HERE.)
This isn’t the first time Chopra Jonas has brought her daughter to work with her. In April, she joked on her Instagram story that it was “bring your baby to work day.” In the photo, Chopra Jonas is on set in between filming, holding Malti in her lap. She throws her head back in laughter as Malti points one finger up. In another, Chopra Jonas holds her daughter’s hands as Malti gives her mom a look of pure love. She shared these emojis over the precious snap: “🥺😍.”
It’s not all hard work, though. Earlier this week, the Quantico alum shared a video of her and Malti hanging out with the cast and crew and their families on a boat. She has a little picnic set up for her daughter, with a Tupperware filled with green grapes and other snacks in a lunch box. At one point, Malti wore a pretty pink-and-white gingham shirt and matching shorts as she hung out on the boat, with the wind blowing through her hair, and playing with toys. Later, Malti walked hand-in-hand with her mom as they docked the boat, walking on shore. They even went to the beach, where Malti changed into a blue swimsuit with matching bucket hat, covered in wide-open eyeballs. She plays with sand toys in the cute clip, clearly having the time of her life.
“When I start a new project it’s really important for me to know that the people that come together to make it are top notch,” Chopra Jonas captioned the video. “We spend so much time together, away from our families and homes, thinking, eating and breathing the art we’re contributing to. It becomes so much easier when everyone you’re surrounded by is full of joy, dedication and the absolute best at their craft. This feels like that. Here’s to new beginnings.”
