She may be royal, but Princess Charlotte is just like any other 9-year-old when it comes to school. Prince William shared a rare update about his only daughter, who he shares with wife Kate Middleton, proving she is just a regular kid.
During an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Portsmouth on Wednesday, the Prince of Wales bent down to talk to a kid about the young royal. “Charlotte’s at school, Charlotte’s got exams,” he told the child, per Hello! Magazine.
“Yes, she’s got tests — she wasn’t looking forward to it this morning,” he continued, adding, “Hopefully it’s all gone well.”
Poor girl! End of year exams are the worst, especially when you are just itching to be out of school for the summer. Being a princess has no perks when it comes to education, so she’s gotta study and work hard like any other kid.
Princess Charlotte clearly cares about her education at Lambrook school in Berkshire, where she attends with her brothers Prince George, 10, and Prince Louis, 6. An insider told Hello!in January that the princess is “so kind and friendly” at school, where “the other children adore her.”
“She’s kind to the kids in younger years and she’s very popular,” they continued, which sounds exactly like her grandmother, the late Princess Diana, who was known as the “People’s Princess” because everyone thought so highly of her.
The source also dished on George and Louis. “George seems like a nice boy, too, and little Louis just has so much energy,” they said, adding that Louis “continues to keep the grown-ups on their toes.” Overall, though, “they’re lovely kids.”
Princess Charlotte turned 9 last month, where her parents shared a new portrait of her. “Happy 9th Birthday, Princess Charlotte! 🎂,” the caption said. “Thank you for all of the kind messages today.”
These kids are growing up too fast!
