Camila Alves and her daughter Vida just had the cutest (and coolest!) mother-daughter date, and the internet is freaking out over the photo Alves shared. Last night, she and her 14-year-old daughter Vida went to a fashion show, and it looks like those two attendees could have walked the runway themselves.
“Very special attending @hermes show with my daughter in NYC…thank you for welcoming us with such care and love! The show was amazing!” Alves captioned her Instagram post.
In the photo (similar to the one below), Alves — who also shares sons Levi and Livingston with husband Matthew McConaughey — and Vida are walking the streets of New York City ahead of (or perhaps right after?) the Hermes fashion show, and they look like dynamite. Quite literally. The two are rocking fiery red ‘fits and we can’t get over how iconic they are.
They each wore red two-piece sets but with their own twist. Alves had a lacey cropped camisole and an ankle-length skirt that had the same doily-esque pattern but looked to be made of leather. The model accessorized the look with a simple choker and short black heels.
Meanwhile, Vida had a knit set made up of a short skirt and a long-sleeve, zip-up, collared, crop top (say that five times fast!). Unlike her mom, Vida opted for black ballet flats. The Alves-McConaughey women both wore their long curly black hair down, making them look even more like twins than usual. (If that’s even possible.)
Followers were as in love with the post as they were stunned by how quickly Vida grew up.
“It’s your mini-me!!! 💃🏼 💃🏼” “She’s beautiful like her mother. ❤️” “Oh my gosh Vida sooo grown up so beautiful 💓🌸”
“👏👏👏,” Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue rookie Sharina Gutierrez wrote.
In April, Matthew McConaughey walked a red carpet with his family, and we couldn’t get over the sweet moments he and Vida shared. The teen looked so elegant in a simple yet sophisticated pink gown, and it was beyond precious when she leaned into her dad for a forehead kiss. Now if we can only get McConaughey in a red two-piece set … that could be “alright, alright, alright.”
