Tamera Mowry truly has a way with words, and this time, she perfectly explained the reality of being a working mother.
On June 6, Mowry shared a compilation video to her Instagram of the “reality of being a working mom.” She shared the video with the caption reading, “Being a working mom is a balancing act, and it’s not always easy. 💼❤️ Sometimes it’s hard not to chase every dream opportunity while also wanting to be there for every family moment. But we make it happen, showing our kids that it’s possible to pursue your passions and be there for the ones you love.”
Mowry added, “Moms, we got this! 💪🏽✨ Who else feels this struggle? Let’s support each other y’all!”
In the truly tear-jerking video, we see Mowry on set, traveling to and from. We see her dealing with the highs of her career, while showing the lows of missing her family; all finished up with a truly touching chip of her kids excitedly running to her as she returns home.
Throughout the video, she explained being a working mom perfectly. “As a working mom, you never want to take for granted the opportunities that come your way, especially if they’re dream jobs. You want to be in two places at once, never missing beautiful milestones or giving your loved ones hugs and kisses,” she said. “But somehow, someway, we must up the strength to do it, showing them it’s possible to achieve dreams while holding them close.”
For those that don’t know, Mowry and her husband of over a decade, Adam Housley, have two children together named Aden John Tanner, born in Nov 12, 2012, and Ariah Talea, born in July 1, 2015.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, she talked about the reality of motherhood, and how hard it can be; and why she shares the highs and lows on social media.
“Motherhood is hard,” she said. “It’s not easy. And you know, I am a true believer that it takes a village and … I’ve learned that as I become vulnerable, I am helping others and in that I am also helping myself … And so I just feel that it’s just become a part of who I am and a part of my purpose to just share with my community.”
