Leave it to a twin to spill all the secrets! Jonathan Scott and fiancé Zooey Deschanel just dished about Drew Scott and wife Linda Phan’s baby girl Piper Rae, and you can tell they are proud of their new niece!
The Property Brothers star and New Girl alum hosted the Daytime Emmy Awards on June 7, just two days after his twin brother announced the birth of his daughter. (Drew is also dad to 2-year-old son Parker.) During the appearance, Jonathan told Entertainment Tonightabout Drew and Phan, “They’re back home. They’re resting.”
He’s not quite sure how he feels about the new addition to the family, though. “With Parker, we got pretty good, you know, nephew vibes,” Jonathan said. Deschanel chimed in, “TBD, TBD” about how they feel about Piper. “Cute, but we’ll see.”
We’ll have to take her word for it, because so far, Drew has only shared pictures of Piper’s hand and her foot. “Our family of 3 has become 4!” he wrote. “Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart ❤️.”
Drew isn’t the only one who loves Piper. The What Am I Eating? star shared that her kids Elsie, 8, and Charlie, 7, who she shares with ex Jacob Pechenik, met the baby girl. “They love babies,” she told ET. “So, they’re excited.” Aww!
In an interview with TODAY earlier this month, Jonathan called Drew and Phan “the most educated, amazing parents, and so the fact that they were blessed with another baby is going to be incredible.” He added that he hopes to maintain his “cool uncle” title, adding that Parker thinks of him as the “coolest, funniest guy he’s ever seen.”
He also opened up about his relationship with Deschanel’s kids, saying, “I’m frankly no more than a chauffeur to our 7- and 8-year-olds. They have way cooler social lives than we do.”
One thing’s for sure: these kids have the best parents!
