A few days after turning 39, Sharna Burgess got sentimental and shared a new carousel of photos on Instagram that is equal parts spicy and sweet. The Dancing with the Stars pro thanked her followers for “all the birthday love” and reflected on the fact that she’s a year away from a major milestone birthday.
“I swear yesterday I was 25 moving to LA for DWTS, no roots, no tribe and just trying to find my way,” the Australian dancer wrote. “Today my roots grow deep, my tribe is strong and I’ve learned we are always finding our way.”
“Only now I get to find it with @brianaustingreen and all my amazing kids.”
The carousel starts and ends with similar adorable and PDA-filled photos of Green and Burgess in bathing suits on a boardwalk. Green is carrying his girlfriend who has one hand on his face, the other around his shoulder, and is giving him a big ol’ smooch. The next photos are of Burgess on [seemingly] the same boardwalk, rocking a skimpy red bikini, followed by one of her blowing out a candle on a cake.
“I’m so grateful for this life, and my 30s have been the best decade yet 🙂 I hear it keeps getting better too 💕,” she continued.
“I wish all my bonus babies were on this trip with us ♥️ I love and miss you guys!!”
Burgess shares son Zane — who turns 2 on Friday! — with Green and is stepmom to the actor’s son Kassius, 21, who he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil, and his kids Noah, 11, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 7, who he shares with ex-wife Megan Fox. Only Zane joined his parents on the trip, but it’s so sweet that she shouted out her stepkids who she clearly loves as if they were her blood.
As the carousel of photos continues, there are adorable shots and videos of little Zane who has enviable curls and chubby cheeks. There’s one of the little guy looking over his dad’s shoulder, one of him watching his mom blow out a candle, and a video of Burgess and her toddler going down a water slide in matching neon bathing suits and topknots.
Amid the well wishes, commenters couldn’t help but comment on Burgess’ “storybook romance” and her squishy son. Burgess and Green were reportedly set up by their mutual business manager in 2020 and got engaged this time last year. She has always expressed her love for her “bonus babies,” saying they have fulfilled her wish for a big family — “a home filled with love, chaos and tiny handprints.”
“[Zane] has been the greatest blessing to our blended family,” she said last year. “He has solidified this bond and I think helped the kids trust that this family is forever together.”
