Chrissy Teigen Shared Her Family’s Current Obsession & It Says A Lot About Her as a Parent

Every time Chrissy Teigen helps her kids with a niche hobby they’re obsessed with, an angel gets its wings. According to her Instagram followers, at least — though we’re inclined to agree!

In a post the Cravings maven made on Tuesday, she revealed that her eldest child Luna, 8, as well as she and her husband John Legend, are obsessed with building LEGO sets. Teigen shared several photos from the family’s vacation in Mexico, several of which captured the trio building LEGO sets or smiling next to completed models. “Well on our way to completing every Lego set ever,” the mom of four captioned the carousel.

The first photo of the post showed Teigen and her daughter sitting at a patio table with piles of LEGO bricks in front of them, each holding up an instruction booklet and smiling for the camera. Teigen was making a vintage radio set, while Luna was working on a LEGO Friends house model. The cookbook author also shared a photo of the “All of Me” singer with a completed grand piano set that’s impressively intricate.

Anyone who’s ever tried to assemble a LEGO set, or tragically stepped on a brick, knows that the hobby isn’t for the faint of heart. One of Teigen’s followers applauded her for not only encouraging Luna’s hobby but also actively participating alongside her. “I am impressed such patience. I would be in tears the minute I saw all the pieces,” they admitted.

Other fans were curious and complimentary, with one asking, “How long did it take you to build the radio? Impressive!” Another follower wondered how the family transports the finished models home, and Teigen took the time to respond — and her answer reminds us of just how much we love her.

“So how do they get back home? 🤔,” the follower asked, to which the former swimsuit model replied, “we donate them in every country!” It’s not only a great way to make memories with her own kiddos, but also to give back to local children in the places they visit!

In August 2023, Teigen revealed the family’s love for LEGOS while they were on a previous vacation. “legos on vacation with my giant family! a dream,” she captioned an Instagram carousel that included a photo of her smiling with her assembled vintage Nintendo set, as well as a shot of Luna working on a set of her own. Teigen also shared an Instagram Story that revealed just how many LEGO sets she packed for the trip, and they’re clearly just as much of a vacation staple now as they were then!

In addition to this year’s LEGO fun with Luna and Legend, Teigen shared photos of babies Esti, 17 months, and Wren, 12 months, enjoying time in the tropical outdoors, as well as Miles, 6, having a blast in the pool. One adorable photo captured Legend in the water with all four of the couple’s kids, and it’s remarkable how they each look just like him in different ways. Time will tell if the three younger kiddos will develop an interest in the family toy hobby, too!
