Bindi Irwin Had the Sweetest Mom Hack for Keeping Daughter Grace Happy During Her Birthday Photos

Behind every beautiful family photo is a stressed-out mom trying to hold it all together. We picked out the perfect coordinating outfits, found the right setting and photographer, and made sure our kids are clean and ready — the only thing left is to get everyone to smile at the camera. (See? It’s stressful!) Bindi Irwin has some experience taking photos with her family and her 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior, who she shares with husband Chandler Powell. And her latest pictures give some insight into how she keeps her toddler happy and still while they pose.

In the pictures posted on Instagram, Bindi, her mom Terri Irwin, her brother Robert Irwin, and Powell looked glamorous in front of a wooden triangle display decorated with flowers for Bindi and Terri’s joint birthday celebration. The birthday girls stand in the center, with Bindi smiling in a black top with a black headband in her hair and Terri dressed in a sparkly green shirt. Robert stands on his mom’s other side, wearing a khaki button-down and jeans, and Powell is on Bindi’s other side wearing a green-and-tan plaid button-down shirt. Grace sits on a small table in front of the family next to a gorgeous cake decorated in flowers. She looks adorable in a light pink shirt and pants with white sneakers. Everyone looks adorable!

Toddler moms know that having your child smiling and sitting still for the photo is a huge win. And Bindi achieved this in the simplest way: she gave her daughter a big pink flower to hold! She gazes down at the pink flower, clearly enthralled by it. Not only is this a smart way to keep your toddler still, but also, it’s just such a cute addition to the photo!

On July 24, Terri, who shares Bindi and Robert with the late Steve Irwin, posted a heartfelt note to her daughter on her 26^th birthday. “Happy birthday beautiful Bindi. I have loved you from the moment you first came into our lives,” she wrote on Instagram. “You have brightened my every day with your ability to see the best in everyone and everything. Even in the most challenging times, you forge ahead with courage and optimism.”

“You continue to be the best daughter, and now you are an amazing mama with a daughter of your own,” she continued. “Thank you for looking down from heaven and choosing our family 26 years ago. We were blessed with an angel. 💕”

On July 20, Bindi posted a sweet clip with her mom for Terri’s 60^th birthday. “Happy 60th Birthday to my best friend. Forever. @terriirwincrikey ❤️ I love you with my entire heart,” she said. The video included throwback scenes of Terri and Steve, Terri and her kids, and Terri taking care of animals and going on adventures throughout the years. There are even current clips of Terri with her granddaughter, and it’s just so precious.

“I feel incredibly blessed to have so much love and adventure in my life,” Terri commented. “Terrific friends, a wonderful family, and surrounded by beautiful wildlife here @australiazoo. Thank you sweet Bindi for making today the best day ever. I love you always and forever.”
