Having a zoo for a backyard makes life a little wild — but the Irwins are used to it. The late Steve Irwin hunted crocodiles and spread awareness for wildlife conservation, and his kids Bindi and Robert Irwin carry on his legacy at the Australia Zoo. So, is it really a surprise that Bindi’s daughter Grace Warrior, 3, is so comfortable with animals, too? Even as a baby, Grace was at ease with the animal kingdom. A resurfaced photo of little Grace and her adorable “pillow pet” dog Stella proves it!
The Irwin family pet Stella has her own Instagram account @stellairwinthepug (you gotta follow, it’s too cute!), which shared a throwback photo of Grace using her back for a pillow. “I’ve always loved being Grace’s pillow pet ☺️ #FlashBack,” the picture was captioned.
In the cute picture, Grace lies her head on the pug’s back, pensively staring off to the side. Stella just lies there, clearly content with her little human resting on her. Most kids might be wary of their pets, but not Grace. She looks totally relaxed as if Stella actually was a pillow pet, and they are so precious together!
Grace’s “Bunny” (her grandma Terri Irwin) commented, “Lost in thought with the one you love.” Aww! The Australia Zoo Instagram account also commented, writing, “You’re so sweet and comfy Stella!💕”
“Pugs are great with little kids ❤️,” someone else wrote. Another person said, “That’s true love right there. 🩷🩷”
Grace loves her dog, and she often helps take care of Stella. In January, Terri shared a cute video of Grace dressed fashionable in a peach bucket hat with a pink-and-white striped shirt, walking Stella at Australia Zoo. “The day Grace walked @stellairwinthepug all the way to Africa!” she captioned the clip.
