Insiders Allege Violet Affleck Wearing Jennifer Lopez’s Dress Was a ‘Statement’ About Their Family

Earlier this week, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s daughter Violet Affleck made headlines by wearing her stepmom Jennifer Lopez’s dress from 2023. Many loved seeing this and seeing Violet bond with Lopez last month. However, insiders claim all of this, especially the dress moment, is reportedly a “statement.”

Insiders told the Daily Mail that Violet is quite “heartbroken” about her dad and Lopez reportedly splitting up, and she’s trying to how everyone she stands with Lopez as well, and wants them to work things out.

“Violet does wish her dad Ben would stay with JLo,” the insider said. “She wasn’t living in their house and did not see the extent of the breakdown, but she got extremely close to JLo over the past couple of years and it broke her heart when they split.”

The insider added, “She is not going to stop talking to JLo and recently enjoyed time in the Hamptons with her. Wearing her soon-to-be former stepmom’s Valentine’s Day dress was a bit of a statement – she knew what she was doing. Those close to her thought it was bizarre.”

Now, how does Affleck feel about this? The same way he’s reportedly felt about them hanging out at the Hamptons: he’s chill with it. But because of that, it seems this major “statement” from Violet won’t affect Ben and Lopez’s reported divorce

“Unfortunately for her, wearing JLo’s dress in public is not going to affect Ben’s divorce at all.” the insider added.

For those who don’t know, Garner and Affleck welcomed three children, with whom Lopez has become the stepmother to. Their kids are named Violet, born on Dec 2005, Seraphina born on Jan 2009, 15, and Samuel, born on Feb 2012.

Lopez is also the mother to twins Emme and Max, born on Feb 2008.

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck fell in love on the set of the film Gigli. They appeared in a couple more projects together, and got engaged by the end of 2002, per People. In 2003, they postponed their wedding and then broke up days before, due to the paparazzi and pressure they faced, and were broken up by 2004.

Fast forward to 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance. A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony, but as of Aug 2024, it seems they’re headed for divorce.
