To no one’s surprise, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s kids are all talented in their own right. And Beyoncé’s mom is so proud of them! Tina Knowles just dished about her grandkids’ Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7, and these kids sound so impressive.
“Rumi is a natural little star, and Sir is more into books and electronics,” Knowles told E! Newsat the Debbie Allen, Jordan Cooper and Jack Mizrahi’s Remember My Name Ball on Aug. 17. “We got them all, raising them up right.”
Aww, sounds so cool! And one day, we might see Rumi in action. Apparently, she will “not be denied” a spot on stage as a backup dancer for her mom just like Blue. “They’re all artists,” she continued. “How could they not?”
In the same interview, she explained that Blue made her “swear to secrecy” about her talents on the piano. But as a devoted grandma, Knowles couldn’t help herself. She said she is “blown away” by Blue, adding, “She’s self-taught and she sounds like a concert pianist. She paints, she draws, she does poetry. She’s just an artistic soul.”
“I’m really, really proud of her. I can’t wait ’til the world gets to really hear,” Knowles added.
The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer seems to be encouraging her daughter’s artistic talents as well. Blue Ivy has appeared on stage with her mom and she will appear with her Grammy-winning mom in Mufasa: The Lion King.
In a Nov. 2023 interview on CBS Mornings, Jay-Z dished about his daughter. “She’s been born into a life she didn’t ask for. So since she was born, she’s been in scrutiny and the public eye and everyone having an opinion of even a little girl, how she keeps her hair,” he said. “So for her to be on that stage and reclaim her power, and the song is called ‘My Power,’ you can’t write a better script.”
