Angelina Jolie Twins in Black With Son Pax in Rare Red-Carpet Appearance

Angelina Jolie brought a very special date to the premiere of her seventh directed film: her 20-year-old son Pax! The mother-son duo looked stunning in matching black at the rare red-carpet appearance.

At the premiere of Jolie’s film Without Blood at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, Jolie wore a fitted, floor-length black gown that pooled around her feet. She wore elbow-length black gloves on her hands, and her long blonde hair was straightened and hanging on her shoulders. One arm was tucked into the crook of Pax’s arm, which had a black cast on it. He looked dapper in a classic black suit, black tie, and black shoes, with a pair of aviator black sunglasses on his face.

Pax, who worked in the assistant director department on the film, was recently credited as taking photos from the set of Jolie’s upcoming movie Maria in a Vanity Fair first look. Jolie’s son Maddox, 23, also worked on the Italian set of the drama with his mom and brother. In a 2022 interview with PEOPLE, Jolie gushed, “We work well together. When a film crew is at its best, it feels like a big family, so it felt natural.”

Without Blood star Salma Hayek enjoyed working with Pax and Maddox as well. “They work hard,” she said at the PEOPLE/Entertainment Weekly TIFF suite on Sept. 8. She added that Jolie was “very professional” with her kids on set. “She’s demanding. They got the respect of the crew, and they were good with the crew, and they were very in their place,” the actress continued. “They were not treating me like they treat me outside of there. They were very, ‘You have to come,’ and I go, ‘Okay!’ It was kind of fun.” Hayek added, “They work hard. They are very serious about what they do.”

“It is kind of funny, I was teasing them at the beginning, but then I had to say, ‘No. I have to separate and just treat them like professionals because it’s disrespectful,'” Hayek said.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporterlast month, the Maleficent star reflected on bringing her kids to work with her over the years. “I have never had a set where my family is not allowed to be there because I’m focusing — I’m not that person,” Jolie, who shares Maddox, Pax, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 16, with ex Brad Pitt said. “You can climb all over me or visit. It really meant a lot that my boys were with me on Maria. When I would have really heavy times, they would come over and just give me a hug or a cup of tea.”

“That was probably one of the more intense things was that — usually when I’m expressing that much pain, it’s not in front of my children,” she added. “You really try to hide from your children how much pain and sadness you carry. And so for them to be with you when you’re expressing it at such a level, I think it was the first time they ever heard me cry like that. That’s usually for the shower.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Jolie opened up about how her parenting dynamic has changed over the years. “They’re a bit older, getting more independent. I’m less needed and so able to go away for different periods of time,” she said. “And they’re old enough to join me at work.”

“It’s a new season in our lives. I’m very excited for them to be coming into their own more and more every day,” she added.

Angelina Jolie is a mom of six — and the way she dotes on her kids is adorable!
