Tony’s son Riley Hawk and the late Kurt’s daughter Frances Bean Cobain secretly welcomed a child named Ronin. The internet is freaking out right now, and Tony has already shared a glimpse into how he’s handling grandparenthood. (Hint: it’s so sweet!)
In a photo obtained by EOnline, on Sept. 29, Tony posted a photo to his Instagram Story soon after Frances and Riley made their announcement. He shared the photo of himself looking so lovingly at his newborn grandson, who’s resting on his lap.
It’s such a wonderful, heartfelt moment to see. This pic truly shows that Tony is the proudest grandpa in the world (and already has the grandpa humor down since he commented under the birth announcement, saying, “My favorite grandson” to his only grandson).
For those who don’t know, Frances and Riley have been together since 2021. While they’ve kept their romance quite private, we do know they tied the knot on Oct 7, 2023 and that her godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, officiated, per Page Six.
On Sept 28, Frances shared a series of snapshots that shocked everybody: she and Riley are parents now! She shared the photos of their newborn son to her Instagram with the caption reading, “9.17.2024/ Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk 🩵 ✨ Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything ✨.”
