The internet is going wild over a recent interaction between Blac Chyna and her daughter Dream Kardashian, and it’s clear why. In a now-viral video, the rapper quickly told her daughter that whatever physical “flaw” she might be seeing was in fact perfect.
In the clip, Blac Chyna — who shares Dream with ex Rob Kardashian and 11-year-old son King with ex Tyga — is doing her daughter’s hair in the bathroom. Dream takes her thumb and forefinger and starts measuring her forehead, looking upset when she sees just how “large” her head is. Blac Chyna is equally stunned to see her daughter do such a thing at such a young age and quickly hops into Supportive Mom Mode.
“Dream, your forehead is not big,” she said, knowing what her daughter was thinking even though she didn’t say it. “You have the cutest head shape.”
The “Cash Only” singer covers her daughter’s forehead with four fingers saying that the width of four fingers is “perfect,” putting a smile on Dream’s face. “And if you had [the width of] two hands, you still would be cute,” making her laugh.
It was the perfect thing to say to a young girl who is, sadly, already starting to worry about her looks. Instead of helping her daughter find ways to change her forehead or cover it up, the mom of two continues with a high ponytail, showing off the “cutest head shape” while reinforcing that Dream would be cute no matter what.
“She’s breaking the cycle,” a user on X (formerly Twitter) captioned the video along with three misty-eyed emojis.
It’s the heartbreaking cycle of women thinking they need to look a certain way and finding ways to change their appearance. As someone who previously had cosmetic procedures done — and has been open about having them reversed — Blac Chyna could have easily steered Dream in a different direction.
