Kourtney Kardashian is ringing in October by showing off her Halloween decorations, and mild-mannered Instagram followers are totally up in arms about it. The Lemme founder shared a carousel of photos that included not only a shot of an absurd number of pumpkins lining the stairway of a stunning courtyard, but also a pair of inflatable skeletons in a compromising position.
The head-turning couple is situated on a lawn, and one is straddling the other, going in for a kiss. It’s definitely a raunchy display, with the skeleton on top wearing a veil (preparing to consummate a spooky wedding?) … but should we expect anything less from Kardashian and her husband Travis Barker, who are known for packing on the PDA?
“Hello October,” Kardashian captioned the post that has the Parenting Police questioning the mom of four’s judgment:
“The skeletons seriously? Any respect for your kids?” “As a mother of four kids I find it disgusting you would do that to those inflatables.” “This is a mother. Nice roll (sic) model.” “Right, I bet her children are so proud.” “Seriously she has zero class.” “Do you even care about your minor children seeing your disgusting skeleton display?”
Other followers wished people clutching their pearls would “get a life” and just laugh at the funny setup.
This is far from the first time Kardashian has come under fire for PDA (although this may be the first time it’s involved decorations … ). The TV personality shares baby Rocky Thirteen with Barker and kids Mason, 14 Penelope, 12 and Reign, 9 with ex Scott Disick.
This past February, fans had a lot to say about a controversial video of Kardashian and Barker cozying up and kissing near Penelope. “Poor P just standing there while they exchange spit,” one person said. “Love how the kid is ignored,” another speculated.
In a May 2022 episode of The Kardashians, the kids and Kardashian were hanging out when Barker walked in and gave her quite the smooch. “Mom, stop kissing!” Penelope begged in the background. “Just one!” Kardashian pleaded before laughing.
“I am going to die,” Reign later said when the couple kissed at dinner. “Can you guys not kiss in French again? Could you guys please not French kiss again?”
This past summer, Reign was embarrassed yet again when his mom and stepdad reunited after nine days apart. “Stop making out with Travis, bro!” Reign said with a mortified expression on his face. “Like, didn’t you just have a baby?! Don’t get another one this quick!”
In the episode, Kardashian went on to say she thinks it’s OK to kiss (and even “kiss in French”) in front of her kids. “I think it is a beautiful thing to see parents — especially ones that just had a new baby — be affectionate and loving,” she said in a confessional. “There’s nothing wrong with that.”
And she must have the same attitude about the seemingly “affectionate and loving” skeletons!
