Baby car seat: You’ll need to decide if you want to use a baby carrier with a car base or a standard car seat. If you choose a standard car seat, look for a convertible model that can face toward the rear (for infants through 12 months) and the front. This gives you more bang for your buck. If your travel system doesn’t include a stroller, don’t forget to register for one. Check to see that your baby carrier is compatible.
