The worst celebrity baby names of 2009
1) Lou Sulola Samuel
Call this a case of ambiguous naming. We’re all for unisex baby names, but this one is just too hard to decipher. Lou
is a baby girl born in October to Heidi Klum and Seal. She is their third child.
2) Stella Luna
Dear Ellen Pompeo, We love your work on Grey’s Anatomy. However, you need to do more character research before naming your kids. Stellaluna is the name of a kid’s book and
a line of shoes. Why name your daughter that? This baby girl was born to Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery on September 15.
3) Sparrow James Midnight
The word ‘Sparrow’ conjures two images: a tiny bird and wobbly Johnny Depp character. It doesn’t scream baby boy at all though. Born September 9, we think perhaps Nicole Richie and
Joel Madden got a little too creative with their second child’s name.
4) Kenzo Lee Hounsou
What? Was Gonzo just too much? We aren’t sure if this name is a nod to clowns or the Muppets, but either way, it’s a little weird. This little boy arrived in May. His parents? Kimora Lee
Simmons and actor Djimon Hounsou.
5) Otis Tobias
The short-name then longer-name combination could make this baby boy’s name a winner. However, the repeating ‘s’ at the end of both names makes this one just not flow well. This baby boy was born
this year to Spiderman star Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer.
6) Mars Merkaba
There are no words for this one. But then, mom Erykah Badu isn’t known for her common name choices. Her other kids are named Seven and Puma. ‘Nuff said.
7) Satyana Marie
We hope that kids don’t take this baby girl’s name to heart (ahem, Sat-on-ya?). She was born to American Pie and Buffy’sAlyson Hannigan and husband Alexis
Denisof in March.

rockers on the brain with these two names.
