Braces aren’t the only route to a beautifully confident smile. If your child’s grin needs improvement, you have choices. Invisalign Teen may be just what you’re both looking for.
How Invisalign works
Invisalign uses virtually invisible plastic trays, called aligners, to slowly mold your teeth into the look you want. Invisalign aligners are specially designed for each patient, so they fit your teeth perfectly.
As an Invisalign patient, you are given a series of aligners, and gradually move from one aligner to the next as your teeth begin to move into place. Most patients change their aligners about every two weeks.

Advantages over braces
With Invisalign, wires and metal are things of the past. These comfortable aligners put an end to the pain of braces — no more cut-up gums and sore cheeks!
When you’re wearing braces, you have to limit your diet to braces-friendly food. With Invisalign, however, you can eat whatever you want. Simply pop out the aligners, have a meal or snack, and put them right back in.
Good dental hygiene can be tricky when you’re wearing braces. Food and other crud gets stuck under bars and in crevices, and all that gunk can be tough to see and remove. With Invisalign, you can remove the aligner, then brush and floss as you normally would. This lets you keep up your dental hygiene routine and keep your periodontal health in check.
Finally, just because you’ve decided to take steps to correct your smile doesn’t mean you want everyone to know about it. With Invisalign’s virtually invisible plastic aligners, no one has to know but you.
Invisalign Teen
Not all mouths are made alike. For that reason, Invisalign designed Invisalign Teen, a special line of their product designed with a teenager in mind.
Teenagers aren’t known for listening to their parents or for following instruction. To ensure patient compliance and enable parental monitoring, all Invisalign Teen aligners come with a Blue Dot Wear Indicator that slowly fades as the aligners are worn. It indicates when it’s time to move on to the next aligner, and lets you know if the aligners are being worn as directed.
Braces & your teenager: What are your options? >>
Teens can be forgetful, too, so you can expect an aligner or two to get lost on the bus or thrown away with lunch. Invisalign Teen provides up to six replacement aligners at no cost to you.
